Henry's blanket part 3

Some of the headles I had to remove to get enough width for the warp
Reed almost completed
I just love my macro lens
You can see the silk and wool combinations, oh all those threads !
Tie on complete
So far so good

Pattern pegged out
First passes through and getting threads aligned

Dobby system looks good but as soon as the pattern went on STOP! it did not want to work so lots of chatting to weave friend s and with the help of Monique we fixed the springs and tension system and fingers crossed x x

Henry's blanket part 2

Well I have started the threading process are Julie helped me wind on. It was a major task winding on as the wool kept sticking.

It took me 2.5 hours to thread 22 inches so thats a quarter of it done.
Lucky threading is simple 1212,3434

Ok its not weaving

I found this image on a blog I read from time to time. I love the way it looks like samples stitched together. Could be a beautiful lacroix skirt!

Henry's blanket

Well today I finally got the warp for Henry's Baby blanket ion the loom. well ready to wind on. It took me longer to wind than I thought even with Mel winding more than half for me. maybe I  should have done it as 2 warps instead of 4 threads silk then 4 threads wool, it became very tedious and slow. So tomorrow wind on and start threading! All 1000 threads. I feel a back ache coming on.
